Exploring Mary's Call

November 11, 2024

December 7, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Join artist, theological seeker, and Cathedral parishioner Lisa Thorpe in beginning your Advent with Mary: thinking about her call, her courage, and her choice. We explore this by reading the text and looking at images of the annunciation through the lens of art through the ages. The retreat culminates in the creation of a glass bowl collage with Mary at the center and the option to weave the words from the Magnificat through. We will reflect on our own openness to being a container for God.

This retreat includes meditation, movement, and art making. $25 for registration, material, and lunch.
To learn more, contact Lisa Thorpe artist@lisathorpe.com.

Now, Jennifer shares her story, wisdom, and experience to help people live, love, and serve others more fully by recognizing that: at the end of life comes death; family caregiving is both the hardest job and the greatest honor most of us will ever face; and love is greater than death.
